Refresher Driver Training

Open to drivers of all ages wishing to update their skills and gain confidence. Tuition is tailored to the individuals needs. These one hour and 50 minuite sessions are particularly suited to nervous drivers, those returning to driving after a break and drivers who have lost confidence following an accident.

Motorway Session

A confidence building course that includes a full briefing on motorway driving, joining and leaving the motorway, how to avoid being blocked in by lorries, use of lanes, what to do in the event of a breakdown. Includes a Certificate of Completion.

Night Driving

Session aims to improve confidence when motoring at night. Includes night driving techniques, avoiding dazzle, driver fatigue and much more. Includes a Certificate of Completion.

Evening - £80.00

Speed Awareness

This session is of benefit to drivers that have no points, or have not had a speed related incident - yet! As well as drivers who have gained points on their license and wish to avoid more. Completion of this session can demonstrate a commitment to change of driving habits. A Great gift for parents to give young drivers that they are concerned about. The session seeks to improve driver attitude to speed and illustrate the perils of using speed excessively. It will ensure that the driver knows the legal limits and recognises the clues and signs that indicate that limit. It will also introduce how to keep pace in the drive while making safe progress and includes a written report and Certificate of Completion.

Parking and Reversing Improvement

Session covers straight reversing, manoeuvring in tight spaces, parallel park and reversing into a parking bay. We will not necessarily cure all parking problems but will introduce new skills for ongoing practice.

Essentials of Defensive Driving

Improves the driver's ability to create time and space around his vehicle. Introduces visual scanning techniques and improves anticipation and awareness. Includes a copy of the Driver Development Handbook and a Certificate of Completion.

Advanced Driving - An Introduction

This session starts with a brief demonstration drive from Sandra Pennyfather, Chief Instructor at Driving Ambition. Sandra will show how an advanced drive is planned and executed by giving a commentary throughout. The driver will undergo a driving assessment and instruction to start them on the road to becoming an advanced driver. Advice will be offered on how to continue preparing for an advanced test. Includes a copy of the Driver Development Handbook and a Certificate of Completion.

Advanced Driving Course

A five day course to prepare for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Advanced Driving Test. Your trainer will look at how you obtain information about what's happening around you, what you do with that information, the smoothness with which you use the controls and your driving performance. Together you will then develop your skill to the very high standards required for the Advanced test. Your test will be conducted by a RoSPA examiner and is generally regarded as the most comprehensive and challenging test of its kind available to the general public. Your result is graded and a full written report supplied. Improving your driving skills will not only make you safer, but you'll also find you get a lot more enjoyment from your vehicle. Includes Roadcraft & Test Fee.
