Instructor Earnings
It is hugely difficult to predict just how much you will earn once fully qualified as a Driving Instructor. You will have seen advertisements in the press hinting that there is a huge salary to be earned. The reality is a little different. Yes it is true that you could have very high earnings but you would have to do very long hours to achieve this. The chart below gives you a realistic estimate of the potential earnings. Remember that the bottom line figure is after you have financed your car so you may wish to take that into account when you do your sums. Bear in mind that that it can take some months, to reach continuous full capacity. You will find that when you first start teaching that you will find it physically and mentally exhausting and are likely to be able to deliver just a couple of sessions a day. If you take up the opportunity of a trainee licence you will also have to fit in your own continuous training or supervision in around your workload.
Driving Instruction is not a career to enter into for the money. Your motivation should come from a passion for the subject and a desire to help others to drive safely and confidently.
