The Road to Success
To qualify as an Approved Driving Instructor you have to pass a three part examination, with each part on a separate occasion. Your Driving Ambition course will prepare you for each part.
To prepare for Part One the Theory and Hazard Perception Test you will be mainly studying at home with support from your tutor. You may choose to meet with your tutor in person or discuss your progress and set goals over the phone or via email.
Instruction for the Test of Driving Ability or Part Two will start as you progress through the study for Part One. You will be given as much in car training as you need to lift your drive to the standard required. As training for Part Two complements your Part One studies you should arrange your first run when you are about half way through.
Part Three is the most demanding section of the qualifying process you will be taught how to plan, prepare and deliver the entire syllabus required by the DSA. Using visual aids, you will become polished at delivering briefings on core subjects. You will discover, develop and hone your skills through role play with your trainer.
Once you have completed your initial training you will need to practice your new found skills. You may choose to practice on family or friends but remember, you must not take payment or reward for this. The alternative is to practice on real fee-paying pupils, to do this you will need to apply for a trainee licence. Your Driving Ambition tutor will support you in whichever route you choose and ensure that our strict standards are met and you comply with the requirements of the trainee licence.
Your Driving Ambition Course is ongoing we will offer advice on how to run your business, how to prepare and present candidates for test, where to find information and support and much more.
At Driving Ambition we believe that your training should continue well after you pass your Part Three exam, indeed as the industry embraces Continued Professional Development, Driving Ambition will be on hand to advise and support you every step of the way.
