Sandra Pennyfather

Managing Director and Chief Instructor

Sandra is an experienced driver and instructor trainer with well over 10 years experience in the industry.

Before moving into driver training she spent many years in sales and marketing selling everything from frozen chips to first aid courses and mobile phones to advertisement space. She has worked for organisations such as The Confederation of British Industry, Thames Valley Business and St John Ambulance. Sandra often jokes that as a sales person she used to do all the things that she now trains her students not to do!

James Fear
Senior Instructor

James is a highly qualified instructor with almost three years experience. James oversees our driving school as well as delivering fleet and advanced driver training. He is able to adapt his teaching style to win over the most difficult of qualified drivers to the most nervous of learners. His calm, quiet manner puts the most anxious of pupils at their ease. James has a proven ability to coach drivers at all levels. Since qualifying as an instructor he has continued to expand his skills and knowledge and now boasts the following credentials:

Scott Exell
Instructor

When looking for a new career Scott contacted Driving Ambition to explore the opportunities on offer. He rose to the challenge and following the successful completion of his qualifying process, joined the Driving Ambition instruction team. He relishes the challenges ahead and has enjoyed great success with his students so far. Scott is passionate about his new career and has already earned himself a reputation for being a stickler for detail. No bad thing when safety is our main priority. Scott's credentials include:

John Franklin
Instructor - Automatic Specialist

John is the most recent addition to the team at Driving Ambition. John came to us as a newly qualified instructor that wanted to concentrate on people who simply wish to pass their driving test in an automatic car, and have no plans to drive a manual vehicle. He is able to adapt his style and vehicle to accommodate drivers with various physical restrictions. His training car is fitted with hand controls. John's credentials include:

  • Driving Standard's Agency Approved Driving Instructor Grade 5
  • Member of the Driving Instructor's Association

 

Jane Mitchell
Office Manager

Jane is generally regarded as the person that keeps our instructor's and trainers under control - no mean feet! She has an NVQ in office administration and is currently looking forward to undergoing advanced driver training with one of our trainers.

In addition to our full time trainers we have a team of contracted driver training specialists spread across the country, each highly skilled in their field.
