Learn to drive.

 

" Having been itching to get behind the wheel for years I decided to learn to drive as soon as I could and booked my first lesson for just 3 weeks after my 17th birthday. I was a bit anxious about what I was taking on and a bit nervous about the challenge that faced me however I found Sandra at Driving Ambition to be calm, friendly and very reassuring, all of which rubbed off on me ensuring that my initial nerves were unfounded.

I found the process to be extremely organic, as every lesson progressed at MY pace rather than just sticking to a set idea of what should be happening. Sandra praised my effort and any criticism was very constructive. I was repeatedly told over the course of my instruction "I want to teach you to drive with safety as your main priority and passing the test will follow" which is really put me at ease because the pressure was not on passing the test leading to a positive feeling about my driving ability.

As my test approached my nerves returned though I was put at ease by doing a mock test and being given detailed feedback on every aspect of my drive. I passed first time and was congratulated by Sandra though she also reinforced that this was the beginning of the learning, i.e. I shouldn’t just relax now that the test was over, but look to increase my knowledge and experience over time.

The step in this regard was to complete the Pass Plus scheme with Driving Ambition, which was not only informative but extremely good fun, during this process I was able to put into practice what I was being taught by Driving Ambition while I was out driving on my own.
 
All the way through I found Sandra to be extremely knowledgeable and instilled an air of safety 100% of the time and really made me feel confident in my own ability to drive on motorways without any hesitation.
 
Having completed Pass Plus I asked Sandra if there was any other courses which would further advance my driving, she told me all about RoSPA and that she held RoSPA Gold award and was a RoSPA qualified instructor which of course meant that I was able to go out on more instructional drives and learn more! Again, this was very informative, worthwhile and brilliant fun. It was also extremely challenging though with the help of the skilled instruction I received from Driving Ambition I achieved the highest award possible, Gold, and this before my 18th birthday! I can’t recommend the Rosa test enough, it is a fantastic course and I learnt so much!

Advanced driver training.

 

" It was very instructive watching Sandra behind the wheel describing what she was doing in real time. It made me aware of just how lazy I had become as a driver, and therefore what risks I was taking with other people’s lives. Sandra’s prompt of “Bob and Tom” has stayed with me and as a result I have remained much more aware of what’s happening around me; this has given me time to avoid potential hazards, with the result that I am not only driving more safely, but I’m having more fun too.
In this respect Sandra’s instruction has shown me how to get the most from my performance car, the exhaust note is more pleasing and my petrol consumption has improved with no loss of driving enjoyment. Sandra’s enthusiasm is infectious, which means that lessons are learned painlessly and remembered fully. "
